Tammy Flynn
At the age of 5 Tammy commenced her dancing training at the Barbara Peters School of Dance, her passion for classical ballet was renowned.
She then furthered her training at the Adele Taylor School of Dance obtaining exams in IDTA, ISTD and RAD syllabi.
There is where she took part in dance festivals gaining many medals and received prestigious IDTA theatre awards and nominations.
As a teen, she was a part of the English Youth Ballet and performed at the York Opera House.
Apart from her thirst for dancing, Tammy pursued an academic career and having a large interest in science and medicine she obtained a Biomedical degree at The University of Sheffield.
Soon after, her passion for dancing returned and she appeared in Chess, Hairspray and The Sound of Music in the Leeds Grand Theatre. Footloose and 42nd Street at the Yorkshire Playhouse.
Nearer her home in Wakefield, she appeared in many Pantomimes at the Theatre Royal.
After qualifying as a teacher with Linda Lister, she successfully opened her own dance school in 2015.
Tammy is a teacher and member of the faculty at The Betty Chappelle Dance Centre in Wakefield.
