Mark started his dance training at the Betty Chappelle Dance Centre with one gymnastic class a week when he was 6 years old.
He was soon attending classes in all theatre subjects several times a week and frequently acted as Miss Chappelle’s demonstrator at dance lectures throughout the country.
Under Miss Chappelle’s tutorship, Mark became a member of the IDTA in 1992 and by 1999 had his first Fellowship teachers qualification.
At this time Mark was also actively involved in amateur dramatics, both as performer and choreographer for several companies.
In 2000 Mark embarked on a professional dance career which lasted 13 years, more than half of these as Dance Captain.
Mark returned to teaching in 2013, gaining more teaching qualifications and now teaches at four dance schools a week, his favourite class being the Adult Tap class at the Betty Chappelle Dance Centre.
