Lisa Jones

Lisa is a Fellow Member of the International Dance Teacher Association.
She trained at the Betty Chappelle Dance Centre. Whilst attending the centre she received two scholarship recommendations for the IDTA in Modern Jazz at Solihull, Birmingham and for Tap Dance in Manchester.
At the age of fifteen she performed in a dance trio, ‘Illusions’ along with Amanda Taylor and Steven Houghton gaining runner up for Saturday morning TV programme Going Live Young Entertainer of the Year.
After leaving school, teaching, and gaining IDTA qualifications, Lisa commenced her professional dancing career, working for Stageworks Worldwide Productions Summer Season and Pantomime with Ray Cornell Summer Season Blackpool, Eperotiki Cruise Lines, Hilli Fun City, Dubai, Casino Povoa de Varzim Portugal, Remmini, Iseo, Pisa, Italy.
After pursuing her professional dance career, Lisa then returned home to uk and gained qualifications in fitness to music, weight resistance training and sports therapy. Whilst working as a fitness instructor Lisa established her own IDTA dance school, L H Jones School of Dance in 1998 and this has recently been taken over by Lisa’s fellow pupil Emma Ledger.
Lisa was proud to return to join her original dance family at the Betty Chappelle Dance Centre in 2009 where she continues to train students of all ages, passing on her passion and love for dance in many genres.
