Tap
Tap is a great way to improve a dancer’s rhythm and musicality, and it is a lot of fun too. Where else do children get away with making noise but in tap class! This popular style is danced around the world by young, old, beginners and professionals.
Contemporary Modern Jazz
Contemporary Modern Jazz is a defining dance form of the 20th century. Students are required to demonstrate emotion through interpretation of any musical genre. Classes are invigorating building strength and stamina based on a classical and contemporary technique. You will learn to develop many different skills, reaching to a broad choice of varying rhythms and musical styles. Classes are structured to begin to prepare the physical core strength and flexibility. You will explore contrast between expansion and relaxation or learn to isolate in a slick stylish mood.
Musical Theatre
Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines songs, spoken dialogue, acting and dance. The story and emotional content of a musical – humor, pathos, love, anger – are communicated through words, music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole.
Acrobatic Dance
Acrobatics (Formaly known as Gymnastic Dance) is excellent for building stamina and increasing extra flexibility. Flexibility is one of the most important aspects in a dancer’s life. A class consists of warm-up, strengthening and conditioning, followed by Acrobatics on a mat introducing dance and properties.
Street Jazz
This is an energetic class which covers all elements of commercial dance and trends of today. Including various styles of dance such as street dance, hip hop, funky and Latin. Each teacher has their own unique combination of style. This is an ideal class for late starters, or those looking for fun where they can express their own styles and personalities.
