Betty Chappelle Dance Centre

Dani Sampson

Dani became a pupil of the Betty Chappelle Dance Centre at the age of 4 and is very proud to now be a teacher there.
In her late teens Dani began her dance teacher training and gained International Dance Teachers Association qualifications under the direction of Betty Chappelle, Linda Lister and Shani Mitchell.
This led to work as a freelance dance teacher in schools across South and West Yorkshire, teaching all styles of Theatre Dance.
In addition to this she has run several dance and musical theatre workshops in, out-of-school clubs in Leeds.
After instigating and running after school dance classes in the Sheffield area, she was asked to choreograph their Christmas productions, and was later asked to return to do the same for the summer shows.
For several years Dani has been in charge of choreographing and rehearsing the Memory Lane Juniors, for when the professional theatre company `Timeless Theatre’ bring their show to Penistone.
Having performed in this show herself, Dani is very happy to be able to give the children a chance to experience and be involved in a professional production.
Following examination success and receiving nominations for the IDTA’s International Theatre Awards, Dani decided to further her own dance training, after successfully auditioning for the prestigious dance college Phil Winston’s Theatreworks, she is finishing her professional training under some of the most respected names in the industry. Whilst at Theatreworks she has had the honour of performing in shows at the Paradise Rooms at Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach.
After a professional dance career it is Dani’s big ambition to become an IDTA examiner.
